85 County Road 5301, Granby, CO 80446
The Red Dirt Fire Station contains over 6,000 square feet of offices, a day room, four resident firefighter living quarters and three large apparatus bays. It was constructed in 2006 as a joint fire station operated by Grand Fire Protection District and East Grand Fire Protection District. Operating under mutual and automatic aid agreements, the cooperation between the Fire Districts allows for joint response, shared staffing and common equipment.
Future Site of the Bud Wilson Fire Station
In 2016, Grand Fire purchased five acres on Grand County Road 40, just across from Lake Granby. As our Headquarter Station and the town of Granby become busier, we look to this site to better serve the communities and recreationalists in the northern part of the fire district. We hope to make this a combined public safety facility, and fundraising is under way with construction anticipated to begin in 2022 or 2023.
