Tyler Campbell
Tyler Campbell is the Division Chief of Special Operations for Grand Fire and Grand Lake Fire, bringing his extensive experience and enthusiasm to both Districts. With nearly 20 years in the fire service, Tyler's career began as a volunteer firefighter before he joined the U.S. Forest Service, then later the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control (DFPC). His dedication and expertise were recognized during his tenure with the DFPC, where he received an award for being an "Unstoppable Force of Positivity."
Tyler has been a resident of the Fraser Valley for the past five years, and his deep commitment to both his profession and community is evident. In addition to his role with Grand Fire and Grand Lake Fire, Tyler continues to serve as a volunteer firefighter with the East Grand Fire District (EGFD).
Passionate about education, Tyler has instructed hundreds of wildland firefighters over the years, maintaining strong connections with many of his students and celebrating their career advancements. His leadership is marked by his goal to build an elite team of skilled, positive, and empowered firefighters.
Outside of his professional life, Tyler enjoys a range of activities. He’s an avid carpenter and tinkerer, crafting all manner of silly creations. Tyler is also a fan of live music, particularly blues and bluegrass. He is also on a lifelong quest for the world's best taco, and his culinary adventures have taken him to the far reaches of the world, with more adventures still on the radar.
Tyler's blend of experience, passion, and personal interests makes him a dynamic and valued leader at Grand Fire.
